The Fuller Foundation Appoints New Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer

Dasha and BrianThe Fuller Foundation (TFF) is delighted to announce two key leadership appointments that strengthen the Foundation’s mission and position it for continued growth and impact.

The TFF Board unanimously voted to appoint Dasha Thomas as executive director of The Fuller Foundation, effective immediately, making her the first woman to serve in this role in the Foundation’s history. Thomas will provide strategic and operational oversight for the Foundation as a whole, ensuring that all areas of its work are aligned with its mission and positioned for long-term growth. She will lead the Foundation’s integrated platform of charitable giving and investment management services and guide its efforts to serve all clients, including Fuller Theological Seminary and the broader Christian community.

As executive director, Thomas will set vision and direction for TFF, expand the reach of its investment and charitable giving services, cultivate relationships with clients, and work closely with the Foundation Board, the Seminary Board, and the leadership team to strengthen operations, enhance client experience, and increase impact. Additionally, she will play a central role in developing new services, deepening engagement with churches and Christian organizations, and ensuring that every aspect of TFF’s work reflects the highest standards of Christian stewardship, excellence, and faith alignment.

In equally exciting news, the Board has appointed Brian Rietze as chief operating officer, in addition to his ongoing role as chief financial officer. In this expanded capacity, Rietze will oversee the Foundation’s day-to-day operations, ensuring that its financial, operational, and administrative systems are aligned to support TFF’s strategic priorities. His deep expertise in finance, operational leadership, and organizational development, paired with his unwavering commitment to TFF’s mission, has been invaluable.

Dasha Thomas has served The Fuller Foundation since 2019, most recently as chief development officer. In this role, she has led strategic initiatives to grow assets under management, expand donor engagement, and strengthen philanthropic partnerships with a steadfast commitment to advancing The Fuller Foundation’s mission. With a background in nonprofit leadership, resource development, and financial services, Thomas is passionate about equipping individuals, families, and organizations to steward their resources faithfully and effectively at the intersection of faith, finances, and philanthropy.

About Brian Rietze

Brian Rietze joined The Fuller Foundation as controller in 2012 and has served as chief financial officer since 2021. In this role, he successfully oversees the financial, accounting, audit, and tax functions for both TFF and Fuller Investing. His leadership has been instrumental in implementing systems that enhance core programs and safeguard the Foundation’s financial health. In his expanded role as chief operating officer, Rietze will integrate operational excellence with strategic vision, further positioning TFF for continued growth and increased mission impact.
